What makes the World Famous HYR Front Desk Captains So Wonderful?

Here are some traits we see over and over again in the people who thrive at HYR. If this sounds suspiciously like you, we should probably talk!:

• Do you love Hot Pilates, Hot Yoga, and Hot & Heavy Weights?

• Do you strike up conversations with strangers in grocery store lines while your friends slowly back away in embarrassment?

• Do you actively seek joy, humor, connection, and tiny ridiculous moments throughout your day?

• Have you ever taken class somewhere else, stared at dust bunnies and mystery hair on the floor, and thought, “Give me a mop. I can fix this!”

• Do fingerprints on mirrors quietly destroy your nervous system?

• When the shit hits the fan, do you become calmer instead of louder?

• Do you genuinely enjoy helping people feel seen, welcomed, and successful?

• Does the phrase, “I don’t know, I’m just not that great with names…” make your hair stand on end in fury?

• Do you want to work somewhere where your ideas, creativity, effort, and energy actually matter?

Requirements & Expectations:

• The best way to land a job at Hot Yoga Republic is… to take classes at Hot Yoga Republic. Many of our team members were active HYR members before joining the staff because they already understood the culture, standards, and community we are working hard to build.

• You must be available for a continuous 12-month commitment and able to work approximately 2–3 shifts per week. (We know vacations, weddings, family events, and life happen. No worries. But training someone to confidently and independently run an HYR studio takes significantly longer than one summer.)

• Morning shifts may begin as early as 5:00am.

• Evening shifts may end as late as 8:00pm.

• Reliability matters. We are a small team and heavily depend on one another.

• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and follow-through are essential.

• Must be comfortable learning and retaining product, membership, retail, and operational knowledge.

• We value warmth, kindness, accountability, initiative, composure under pressure, trustworthiness, and people who notice the little things before someone else has to.

• Our guests are working out and having a blast. We are dressed for success. Clean, fresh athletic wear only. Nothing “jammie-adjacent.”

(We love your stained Phi Delt sweatshirt that that one guy gave you that one time on Spring Break as much as the next person. Please save it for Spring Break.)

• Attention to detail matters. Cleanliness, organization, hospitality, and follow-through are a huge part of the HYR experience.

• Must work well independently while also contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.

HYR Hiring Events:

Hot Yoga Republic will be hosting two Hiring Events as we continue building our team through Summer 2027.

We are looking for professional, reliable, community-minded individuals who are excited about wellness, hospitality, fitness, and creating exceptional member experiences.

We have only a very small number of Front Desk positions available.

Please send your resume in advance, dress appropriately (clean, fresh athletic wear), and arrive on time.

(Which at HYR “on-time” means 5–10 minutes early so we can start on time.)
